Hello to everyone and happy new year! It has, once again, been a while. I will skip the formalities and get right to it. lots going on...plenty of new product in the near future...starting tomorrow. Myself, along with vocal extraordinaire Marcus Akers, have been busy crafting what we call Bangin Soul. The first Avon Players track, Off The Shelf, is due to be dropped tomorrow on Youtube and will be available as a free download on Soundcloud. We will release 2 more tracks...one every 2 weeks. After that, we will be back in the studio to continue on while at the same time shooting our first video and starting the process of preparing a live show. Hey everyone...I hope you are all doing well. Just a quick update on whats going on. Right now is a strange transitional period for me as I wrap up old projects and look to the future for what lies next. I had mentioned a project I was thinking about called Monkey Fist to you guys a while back. This new single I have posted was supposed to be Monkey Fist 1, but as the track developed it sounded more like me and less like the moniker...so its simply an Andrew Ahrendt single. Its called Oh Kim, I Need Space and is one of the more laid back grooves I have ever created. As far as other projects old and new, I'll address those on a further date. In the meantime...enjoy the grooves.

Hello everyone...I hope your summer has been going well. As the leaves start to change in a few weeks the inevitable call to the studio will beckon. With Frown done and out for the world to enjoy, I have decided to change my focus to making single tracks for a while, under a couple different project names. First and foremost will be The Avon Players...a project involving myself and the multi-talented Marcus Akers. I wont go into much detail but the tracks coming out of this venture will make you groove to the Bleu Eyed Soul emanating from Chesterfield Studios. Also, I will be releasing my first track under the Monkey Fist moniker very soon. MF is a deeper exploration into slightly more abstract and sometimes glitchy electronic sounds. I also intend to use this project to get back into scratching some records...cause I miss it. Also, The Illegitimate Sons Of Liberty album, Rock And Roll Adventure Fantasy Land, will be available for purchase very soon...I will keep you updated. In the meantime, I have posted another track to wet your appetites. Its a song we can all relate to...Get Drunk Go To Work. Enjoy!

I'm happy to announce that the new Illegitimate Sons Of Liberty EP, Rock and Roll Adventure Fantasy Land, is almost complete. Fantasy Land is 7 songs of unapologetic Punk shenanigans infused with in your face vocal performances and metal-esque guitar styling. I have posted a super sneak preview track on AndrewAhrendt.Com under the music section. The track is called No Friend, a bitter sweet ditty about old high school relationships. I am also involved in a new project with Marcus Akers, The vocalist for ISOL and the enthralling voice you hear on Life On Mars. The project is called The Avon Players and will be a focused attempt at pop grooves with our own styles infused...think Robert Palmer meets Daft Punk meets Beach Boys...with some Motown sprinkled in. Hello everyone. Been a while since I updated you guys on whats been going on. That doesn't mean things aren't happening though. The Turn That Frown Upside Down saga is entering phase 2 as the physical copy is being prepped for release. I am still kicking around video concepts for a couple different songs on the album. I'll let you guys know about that. I have been busy at work in the studio working on the new Illegitimate Sons Of Liberty EP. ISOL is a high energy punk outfit from the Detroit area who have been jamming and playing out for almost 10 years. The tracks are being finished up and should be available for preview within 2 weeks. In the meantime you can go to Isolrocks.Com to learn more about the band. I hope and plan to make this Summer a period of forward motion. Lots on the horizon. We'll talk soon.

Hello everyone...Happy Fuckin Birthmas! Just wanted to wish you well and update you on whats been goin on. First of all...I am happy to announce that Turn That Frown Upside Down can now be heard in its entirety at AndrewAhrendt.Com...free of charge. If you want to download the album you can go to CDBaby.Com or iTunes. The album will also be available on many other digital outlets very soon...including the subscription services Rhapsody and Napster. I will also be getting the long awaited physical (CD) version pressed early on in the new year...and that will start a whole new phase of promotion and good times.

With my album finally complete I am able to now dig deeper and wider into the producers chair. I am starting work with multiple different local artists to help shape their sound and lend a hand bringing those ideas out. Expect new projects from Charlie Reed, Jason Daker, Marcus Akers, and Chris Bentley (AKA SDrow) to be surfacing next year. As these projects develop you guys will be the first to know. Now go get egg nogged!!!!!

Whats up everybody...hope you're all groovin out to the new album. Theirs a bit of lull in the Frown action until the physical copy gets released, then phase 2 of the media onslaught ensues. In the meantime, the album is slowly trickling its way into the digital realm. First stop is ITunes. Though i prefer the independent route that CDbaby offers, I understand ITunes is wildly popular and I must play ball in order to get my music out there. So if your an Ipod kinda cat...go get that album...so you can say you were there when it all started...booya.

After much delay and hassle...Turn That Frown Upside Down is available from CDBABY. What a long journey. The feedback has been amazing and I look forward to just sittin back for a minute and let people absorb.

Just Letting you know Frown is done...just waiting on CDBABY. They recently launched a new site and are a bit behind. They have the album...once its up you guys will know. Man...its almost here...weird.

Frown is finally being wrapped up. I cant put a for sure date but you will all know when it goes down. I'm waiting on my M.I.A. guitar player to come through and drop a guitar solo...after that its just a matter of setting up the master cut. When the album is complete it should be available on CDBABY.COM almost immediately. Eventually the album will be available on all your digital outlets...Itunes, Napster, Rhapsody...etc. That being said I am really going to be pushing CDBABY for the best outlet for my music...for many reasons. First off...no digital rights management. That means that when you download my album (Or any album for that matter) from CDBABY you can do what you want with it...Burn it to a CD, give it to your friends..etc. Also...once you purchase it you can download it as many times as you like...forever. Second off...I am able to see who is buying my music...something I can't do with all the other outlets. I like to be able to thank my fans and offer them inside info. Case in point...many songs were cut from Turn That Frown Upside Down for various reasons. When the physical copy comes out (A couple months after the digital release) it will have a couple of these tracks as bonus tracks. Anyone who buys my album from CDBABY will get these tracks emailed to them as they are completed...no waiting or paying for the physical copy. Pretty cool huh? I am considering putting one more track from the album on AndrewAhrendt.Com to keep your appetites wet. You guys will be the first to know. Thank you for your patience and support.

Bukkake Button is burning up the charts. Ok...maybe not...but you guys sure do love it. This site has more has had more activity in one day than it used to have in a month...thanks everyone. I can't wait to make the video. Album is close!!!!!!!!!

Bukkake Button is finished and up on the site. Many others are nearing completion. The official release is finally weeks away instead of months/years.

OK...the promo push is on. I will be recording tons of vocals in the next month and another couple weeks editing then mastering. The buzz is stating to grow. This 3 year process is finally near the end. Time to shock some mother fuckers.

The new website is done...for now. Its not the unique, flash laden masterpiece I had envisioned, but it works for now. I got my promotional fliers and matchbooks for the new album...and they both came out perfect...sooo sinister. I am ready for Movement 09 to begin the end of the Upside Down sga.

Starting work on the new website today. Also designing promotional material for the promotional push for Turn That Frown Upside Down. Movement 09 marks the beginning of the end of the album process.
